Manley P. Bush

 

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, raised in Kapa’a, Kaua’i and Waimanalo,Oahu. Manley’s influence to Hawaiian music came by way of listening and following the “Masters” of Hawaiian music and Slack-key Guitar, like Gabby Pahinui and Sons and the Sons of Hawaii to name a few. As a youth he was introduced to the Hawaiian language while in Kapa’a by his Grandmother Lahapa Makali’i Mundon Opio. Manley’s musical talents which include Ukulele, Guitar and Bass were self-taught and began at a young age while living in Waimanalo.  Through the Military, Manley now resides in Salinas, CA.  He has a degree in Management Science and very active in local Hawaiian activities in Monterey, CA and San Mateo, CA . He is also a co-founder of the Annual Pacific Islanders’ Cultural Association’s (PICA) “Aloha Festival” formerly held in San Francisco and now San Mateo. Manley handles all business transactions for Ho’omana and the Manager of the Band.

Robert Lopaki Uncangco

 

Born on  Oahu 

From the town Nanakuli

 

Started playing Hawaiian music at the age of 13 with Uncle Manley. Lead worship for over 28 years at new life fellowship

 

Music influences:

 

C & K, Brothers Cazimero, Hui Ohana, Dennis Pavao, Pretty much all Hawaiian music.

 

Been playing music with uncle Manley and Ho’omana for over 30 years. 

 

4 Children: Lorenzo , Dominic, Sophia & Bella.

Henry “Hanale” Kalauokalani Lopez 

 

Originally from Waianae Hawaii. 

Started playing ukulele at 9. Guitar at 13 and bass at 33. A self taught musician, who now teaches music! 

 

Original founding member of Ka Ehu Kai Hawaiian band in 1989. Played bass also with Island Riddim band. Hanale has continued to share his island roots as a solo performer for many years. And most importantly, he serves as either a bassist or guitarist every Wednesday night & Sunday morning at Sunnyslope Christian center, in Hollister Ca. Where his wife Marilyn also serves as a vocalist. An ordained minister of the faith in 2012. Hanalei shares his faith with all and gives GOD all the glory for everything and everyone he has come into contact with. 

 

Married for over 40 years to his high school sweetheart Marilyn. 

They have 2 adult children.

 

Jon-Kanealii. Who is married to Paige, they have 1 child. Kailyn Ann Mailani. 3 and another on the way. 

 

Victoria Akua O Makana Mailani- daddy’s baby girl! 

Looks like mom, but is 100% “DAD-attude”.

Both are musically talented. Mailani is also an incredible artist of various types of art! 

Jon plays everything dad does, but he also plays the piano. Both are incredible vocalist.
